It’s the holiday season and in that spirit I want to share with you all my journey. It’s been a rough couple of years. My POI can be a POS. Soni reassured me they were a good person and things would work out eventually. But they were inconsistent. In and out. I’d anxiously wait for a stupid what’s up text. They’d cancel dates etc. would say they weren’t ready for a relationship etc. it was rough. Soni helped me keep the faith. She’d listen to me list all the reasons I should give up with patience. She’d tell me that if that is what I really want they’d I should cut all ties but that we both knew that wasn’t what I really wanted. Then a year ago December I ended things after a disastrous trip that Soni warned would be a disaster if the POi showed up. Soni said they’d be back. Well it took a lot longer than we expected. A month turned into another. There was some contact but nothing substantial. Soni told me to focus on me. Date if I wanted although I was warned I wouldn’t be interested in any one seriously. It was tough at first but the more I focussed on me the better I felt. I realized it’s not always about how you feel about your POI but how your POI makes you feel about yourself. Anyways. The POi came back round in October in a romantic way. The time apart proved to me I don’t need them and allows me to be more able to give them space when they need it without freaking out. Anyways where are we now? Tomorrow is Christmas Day and they will be joining me for dinner with the family. I have boundaries that Soni helped me set and we hold to them. Every so often she tells me what to say or do to keep it on track. And she’s always reassuring that it will turn out the way I want it to work out. So keep the faith. And listen to Soni. Even when it’s hard. She always has her clients best interests at heart. Thank you Soni. The journey continues thanks to you.
